Story

The game opens with Lumba killing his family members before refusing to kill his wife. Pal confronts Lumba for betraying him. Lumba commits suicide offscreen, and it cuts to Officer Mark, who arrives at the scene of the crime. He learns that the other police officers plan to take Lumba back to the station to burn his corpse. Mark enters his car and drives away.

Lumba's story is heavily publicized in the media, which inspires Leon to purchase the drug. He convinces The Traitor, Frederick, and Alice to take it with him. The four all pass out after a violent overdose, and each wakes up in a different location. Leon wakes up in a subway, The Traitor outside a crackhouse, Frederick in a hotel room next to a rotting corpse, and Alice in a nightclub. They each kill everyone they come across and meet Pal, who recruits them into his "team."

After some more carnage, the four regroup back at the dorm. Pal urges them to attack a warehouse full of the Lumba drug, which everyone agrees to, except for The Traitor. The Traitor passes out and wakes up in The Core. He encounters Yellherr, who convinces him to kill his three allies. The police also hear about the warehouse and raid it. Officer Mark is present at the raid.

The Traitor wakes up outside the warehouse and reluctantly kills everyone surrounding it, clearing the entrance for the other three. The four make their way through the warehouse, attacking everyone inside it, including Officer Mark, before reaching a small room and taking a break. The Traitor snaps, and attacks the other three, killing Leon and Alice, and injuring Frederick. Mark survives the attack and resorts to taking the Lumba drug for a boost in strength. He finds and kills The Traitor, and returns home.

Mark experiences violent hallucinations as a result of taking the drug and passes out. Pal makes his way through Mark's mind, killing every entity he encounters, before standing in a pile of other dead Pals. He monologues about how death is never the end for him, and locates The Core. After clearing out the outside of The Core, he enters the inside and is confronted by Yellherr. Yellherr claims that Pal's quest is leading him directly to hell, but Pal insists his purpose is holy. Pal defeats Yellherr and makes his way to the red field where Mark lies unconscious. Pal tries to recruit Mark, but he refuses. Pal attacks Mark, but underestimates him. Before Mark can kill him, Pal retreats, claiming that Mark won the battle in a war he is doomed to lose.
