Lumba is the main Protagonist of LUMbA: REDUX and a minor character in LUMbA: HANGOVER.
Lumba's story
LUMbA: REDUX
Lumba wakes up in an office room when a voice commands him to "Purify the world" and "Kill them all." Without hesitation, Lumba massacres the office. The voice returns and tells him to kill Carl. After killing Carl, the mysterious voice reveals himself and introduces himself as Pal and Lumba's Ally.
After getting out of the office building, Lumba encounters a barrage of monsters. After killing them, He enters a nightclub. Inside, he meets Needlar who says strange things to Lumba. Pal tells Lumba to not listen to him and kill him. A long fight ensues, ending with Lumba and Pal killing Needlar.
Lumba gets surrounded and is captured. He wakes up, surrounded by monsters in a prison. He escapes with Pal by driving away in a stolen vehicle. They arrive at a trailer park, "Where it all started."
Pal orders Lumba to kill The Conceiver. Lumba flashes back to him getting abused by The Conciever, implying him to be his father. After killing it, Lumba finds himself in a forest filled with cultists. Lumba eventually comes face-to-face with their leader. After a long battle, the leader escapes by teleporting.
Lumba realizes that Pal isn't with him and he's lost. Lumba mysteriously teleports away to a place that resembles hell, and he transforms into a beast. Lumba enters a cave, and he meets "The Amalgamation."
Lumba kills it and finds Pal, who tells Lumba to go to a warehouse and get the cure to turn back to his normal form before he dies. Lumba finds the cure and turns back to normal. Shortly after finding the cure, Lumba is attacked by a M48 Patton tank. Lumba destroys the tank. Pal tells Lumba to slay Yellherr and destroy the root.
Lumba kills Yellherr and finds the root, which is located in a house. Lumba gets in and finds that the root has a lack of security. Strangely, the creatures do not fight back, so Lumba kills all of them until he finds one last monster. Lumba tries to kill it, but it cries and begins to distort into the shape of a human woman. Lumba shows empathy and mercy, but Pal shows up and kills it.
A television screen illuminates, showcasing an emergency alert. It reveals that all this was an intense drug-induced experience attributed to a hallucinogenic substance known as "Lumba." The "monsters" were other humans fighting for their lives, and the monster Lumba spared was his wife.
Pal scolds Lumba for showing mercy and claims that they have corrupted Lumba. Pal turns into a huge beast with tentacles, and attacks Lumba. Lumba comes out victorious when Pal, in his normal formation, drops on his knees after Lumba defeats him. Lumba's head explodes, signifying that the real Lumba shot himself in the head.
LUMbA: HANGOVER
Lumba is playable in the tutorial mission, which takes place during the end of LUMbA: REDUX. Lumba's body is found by the police in his home in the prologue level. Later, his morbid legacy would pass on to four individuals who become the main protagonists of LUMbA: HANGOVER.
Personality
Lumba is shown to be easily manipulated while under the influence. He obeys Pal's every order without hesitation and becomes extremely anxious when Pal isn't with him. He only stops following orders when he's told to harm his wife. Nothing is known about Lumba before he took the drug, except for the fact that he was abused as a child. In LUMbA: HANGOVER, Leon claims that Lumba was "already mentally fucked" before taking the drug.
